Gallery Diana

Brand new stuff! Images in this gallery were created using plastic, toy-camera lenses originally made for a Diana camera. I discovered some adaptors to get the lenses mounted onto one of my modern cameras. Diana cameras originally appeared in the 1960's, and were often given away as carnival prizes. They are cheap, plastic, and "horrible". By horrible, I of course mean fantastic! The images created from light that passes through these lenses are unlike anything else- vignetted, soft-focus, dreamy, surreal, magical. My Diana images exude an emotional quality that is completely different from my other work using large cameras, pristine lenses, and demanding technique. Spend a little time unwinding in this gallery. I know I have!
